KRTR Local Athlete of the Month
Each month, KRTR Local recognizes one outstanding local athlete from each grade (7-12) for their performance, leadership, growth, and impact—on and off the field.
This is about more than stats. It’s about recognizing athletes who represent their team, school, and community well.
How It Works
1. Public Nominations Anyone can nominate a local athlete from La Porte City, Dysart, and the surrounding area.
2. Finalists Selected KRTR Local reviews nominations and selects finalists based on performance, leadership, improvement, and overall impact.
3. Community Voting The public helps vote and highlight the athletes making an impact.
4. Final Selection KRTR Local makes the final Athlete of the Month decision using nominations, community voting, and the full story behind each athlete.
